TCKS objectives

This pathway allows students to examine and develop analogue and digital electronics, components, and systems enabling design, construction, and fault-finding in circuits and/or microcontroller systems.

Students will be able to

Year 12  Electronics and control

...examine concepts of analogue and digital electronics, components and systems enabling the design, construction, and identification of faults in circuits and/or microcontroller systems.

Year 13  Electronics and control

...develop and analyse analogue and digital electronics, components, and systems enabling design, construction, and fault finding in circuits and/or microcontroller systems.

Objectives on which the Achievement Standards for the Electronics context will be based.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the devices, concepts and standards underlying the design and construction of electronic and embedded software systems
  • Be able to assemble, program, test, debug and modify electronic and embedded software systems. Be able to design, construct and populate functional PCB circuits
  • Be able to design and analyse systems to solve problems using electronic and software elements
