Professional Learning Symposium

Back to list

20/11/2008 9:00 am

Cognition Consulting Ltd and the Ministry of Education will be holding a Digital Technologies Professional Learning Symposium in Auckland on 20 and 21 November 2008.

The symposium will focus on digital technology teaching and learning, and explore other opportunities in this ever-evolving area. Key industry and tertiary organisations will be attending. We invite your school to take part in this exciting opportunity.

Digital Technologies Guidelines (DTG) is a planning environment that enables teachers to design and deliver programmes of work for Years 11–13 that give context, coherence, and relevance to its related areas of knowledge. These areas are aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum and currently include: software development and programming; digital media; electronics; business technology; and the examination of today's digital environment and society.

You need to:

  • put the dates in your diary
  • inform your school’s leaders and confirm which staff may be interested in attending.

The symposium planning team will be sending out registration, programme, and cost details shortly. The event will be heavily subsidised, to keep costs to schools to a minimum.
